Thanks for stopping by to learn more about the OHDEN. You can find information on our site about ongoing projects and events in OHIO ARES, community. The OHDEN was founded in 2012 to provide a framework for ARES members to assist in providing emergency digital communications to our served agencies such as EMA and Red Cross.
We have published the first released version of the Standard Operating Guide. This should be of use to all since success of our net depends not only our technical ability but some rules so we are all on the same page for the mission we have.
We currently meet on 3584.500 USB using Olivia 8-500 with 1500 Hz waterfall. The net meets each Tuesday at 7:45 PM local eastern time.
As we develop this site we strive to form a balance between what is on FACEBOOK vs this stand alone site. We highly recommend net members join our Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/ohden That Facebook group allows on line interaction between members to coordinate nets and exercises as well a forum to exchange ideas between other net members.
Feel free to use the contact form to contact the OHDEN leadership with suggestions for this communications tool and /or the High Frequency Network
OHDEN members who will not join FACEBOOK and thus can not post there, may use this email portal to be posted on the wall there and be answered asap.
